My name is Patrick Wang and just completed my Bachelor of Design Computing (Honours) at the University of Sydney.

My university studies has left me with very broad technical skill set but with a theoretical background for design. I’m a generalist. There are so many great and interesting fields it’s difficult to specialise. From HTML to Java, from photography to AfterEffects, I simply enjoy meeting the challenge of a brief, no matter what the technology.

From the Adobe suite of Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash, AfterEffects, Premiere, Soundbooth, Dreamweaver to the 3D modelling apps of Maya, Cinema 4D, Poser, Autocad to the java programming with Processing, Mobile Processing, and Arduino, I have gone and learned them all in order to develop my projects.

This blog is a place for me write about my work with a premise to be open source. Information, especially knowledge is important, and should be shared with everyone. My time at uni has shown me that there are many design and technical challenges. So much time was saved thanks to those who publish their solutions on a website or on a forum. Time is precious and we should all contribute in some way to make our efforts to meet the needs of our users in a more efficient and effective manner.
